Elementary Flexible Instruction (Asynchronous) Days

Dear Elementary Families,

Below, we have provided answers to many frequently asked questions concerning how the Elementary School will handle Remote Learning.

What assignments should my student complete?

All PreK-4th grade students left school with the needed materials to successfully complete their assigned work. Parents should ask their students to see the directions that were sent home with their child. Students should complete all assignments. These assignments should be completed IF school is completely closed.

How will attendance be taken?

Students will be marked as present on the Remote Learning day if they complete their assigned work and return it to their teacher on the next school day.

Work that is not completed or not returned will result in the student being marked absent on the Remote Instruction day.

How do you return the assignments?

All assignments should be returned to your child’s homeroom teacher upon the return to school.

How long should daily assignments take?

Teachers have prepared assignments that will count as a typical school day; however, the work will not take the full day to complete. If your child is experiencing extreme frustration, please move on to another assignment and reach out to the classroom teacher for assistance.

Who should you contact if you have questions about the assignments?

All teachers will be available from 9:30-11:00am and 12:00-3:00pm during their office hours. If you or your child need extra assistance, please contact your teacher via e-mail for guidance. Teachers will be available to set up Zoom sessions to assist students, if needed.

Thank you for the support and flexibility. If you have questions or concerns about Remote Instruction, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Miss Musselman
