Dear TAES Families:
After a successful transition from the hybrid instructional model back to the full-time, in-person instructional model for our PreK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students last week, we are happy to make the following announcement for the remainder of our TAES students.
Beginning on Monday, February 22, 2021, all 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade students will return to full-time, in-person instruction. These students will report to school on all regularly scheduled school days.
Returning all students to our elementary building is an exciting step for everyone. We will continue to follow our Health and Safety Plan protocols, where physical distancing, wearing masks, practicing good hygiene, and engaging in enhanced cleaning and sanitization procedures remain important ways for us to continue to foster our students’ education. In addition, we ask that you continue to keep your child home and contact your medical provider if your child is ill and/or exhibiting flu-like symptoms. While we are still required to follow the current guidance for closing due to positive COVID case numbers, the chance continues to exist that an expected closure could occur upon reaching those case thresholds. Therefore, it is important to maintain contingency plans for your children. We remain thankful for such supportive and caring Tyrone Elementary families.
We acknowledge that the changes during this school year have been difficult for everyone and we appreciate the dedication and support we have received from our families over the past several months. We will continue to keep you updated and informed as we move forward.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Elementary Office.
