Hello, I teach the Full Day Preschool class at TAES.  I began teaching at Tyrone Area School District in 2007 after I graduated from IUP with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Educations with concentrations in Reading and Math.  I taught Kindergarten for three years before moving to Preschool.  I've been teaching PreK since 2010.  It's my dream job!  In 2011, I pursued my Master's Degree at Drexel University in Middle School Mathematics. I don't plan to ever teach middle school but love Math and want to inspire others to also love my favorite subject!

I am originally from Cambria County and grew up on a farm so I love all animals and pets.  My family still lives there and I enjoy spending time with my parents, brother, his wife, and my 3 nephews and niece when I'm not at work.  I moved to Tyrone in 2008 and have 5 animals, sometimes more! My dog, Zoey, and cat, Izzy live inside with me.  My horse and two goats live outside on my "farm."  I also plan to add chickens and sometimes have ducks around the farm.

My hobbies also include traveling, running, hiking, reading, and learning sign language.  In my free time, I also privately tutor students and teach at my local church. During summer, I work at local camps, clean at Penn State off campus housing, and provide summer instruction for some of our elementary kids here at Tyrone. 

I love education and being a part of the Tyrone district and community!!
