District enrollment kindergarten through 12th grade 1774 with 135 Pre-K students and a district operated day care serving approximately 160 children. The board is seeking a visionary leader who demonstrates a sincere interest in the education of all students and the ability to maintain a culture of professional and academic excellence. Must be knowledgeable in education and curricular trends, current technology, research and innovative practices. The candidate must offer a proven record demonstrating the ability to maintain an open, positive staff and board relationship while fostering a collaborative environment and effectively communicating with and engaging all district stakeholders. Must be skilled and experienced in selecting, motivating and evaluating highly qualified staff and the ability to maximize human and financial resources. A successful candidate will have a solid record of practices of community engagement with strong public relations skills and a demonstrated record in commitment to gauging school climate through an on-site presence. The practice of on-site evaluation of education and related support initiatives is essential for success and expected in the position. Focus will be on research based instructional models and learning designs that will promote student collaboration, creativity and achievement.
