Free & Reduced Price Meals Information
Families can apply for free or reduced price school meals on-line. This can be done by clicking the “File an Application Electronically” link below. You will need your child’s Student ID Number. If you do not know your child’s Student ID Number please contact (814) 684-0710 ext. 4138.
If you receive a direct certification notice stating you are eligible for free meals you do not need to submit a paper application. If you do not receive a direct certification notice for all the children in your household please contact 684-0710 x4138 immediately to ensure your children are receiving the correct benefits.
An application must be completed and approved each school year. Eligibility from one school year is carried over into the next school year to allow time for families to re-apply. If a new application has not been received and approved by the cut-off date of October 6, eligibility for the program is forfeited, and parents are responsible for meal charges incurred.
Applications are mailed to all Middle and High School households in early August. Elementary children will receive an application the first day of school. Applications can be submitted electronically by clicking the link above. Applications are also available at your child's school office or by calling the district office at 684-0710 x4138.
If a member of your household receives Food Stamps or TANF Cash Assistance, your child is eligible for free meals but an application is still needed to help us to register your child for benefits.
