Four main purposes of the National Honor Society : to create enthusiasm for scholarship; to stimulate a desire to render service; to promote leadership; and to develop character. In order to qualify for membership you must have a 3.5 or higher grade point average during the previous school year. To maintain your membership next year you must:
- Maintain a 3.5/90% grade point average starting with the 4th quarter of this school year; two consecutive drops below this level will mean expulsion.
- Complete 30 hours of community service during the school year.
Once dropped from membership, you cannot re-enter the National Junior Honor Society as a member. You have worked hard, and now is the time to be recognized for your achievements.
