Parent Information

  • Clothing:

Please dress your child in clothing appropriate for play. Both inside and outside, we run, jump, dance, crawl, and climb. It’s helpful if you label coats and hats with your child’s name.  It is also a good idea to send in an extra set of clothes to keep in your child’s locker just in case.

    Homework Folders:

A plastic folder will be sent home daily. It is very important to check the backpack every night. Please empty it and send any notes, lunch money, etc. back to school in the folder as I will check it daily.  This is a main form of communication and it’s necessary that you check your child’s folder EVERY DAY.

Excuses are required each time your child returns to school after an absence. Please include the date(s) and the reason for the absence(s), as well as the child’s full name, my name, and your signature.  Please send the excuse the first day back to school with your child in his/her take-home folder.

Children love to celebrate birthdays! If you want to celebrate at school with a small treat, please let me know what date works best for your schedule.  I will let the children with summer birthdays celebrate their half birthdays. (For example: A birthday on August 1st would be celebrated on February 1st.)  Birthday snacks are optional, so please do not feel obligated to participate.  If you are planning a birthday party for your child, please avoid hurt feelings and only send invitations to school if the entire class is invited.  I will NOT send home any invitations unless there is one for every child in the class.  I will be happy to provide you with a class list of names if you need it.
