• Personal/Social Counseling

Students may see their school counselor (Mr. Kimberlin or Mrs. Campbell) anytime to talk. The Counseling Department offers individual counseling, group counseling, and classroom guidance lessons. Some concerns that students may want to discuss include the loss of a loved one, anxiety, depression, peer relationships, relationships concerns of any types, factors within a family, and/or emotional concerns that may be within or outside of students' control. See the Classroom Guidance section for more information on lessons. If a student needs extra support the Counseling Department may refer a student to our Students Assistant Program (SAP) to ensure that students are seen on a weekly basis by an outside counselor.

    SAP Counseling

SAP counselors come into our building from a variety of agencies around the county to work with students on a one-on-one basis and through groups. Some of the groups offered by our SAP counselors include, but are not limited to, social skills, anger management, grief and loss, healthy relationships, and promoting a positive self-esteem. Parent permission will be sent home before an outside counselor is able to see a student for either individual counseling or group counseling. If you have any questions about our SAP program please feel free to contact the Counseling Department.
