Tyrone Elementary School
    Preschool - Grade 4

The Tyrone Elementary School offers programs for children preschool through fourth grade.  At Tyrone Area Elementary School we set high expectations to ensure a challenging curriculum for all students.  Through the MTSS Model, our teachers use ongoing assessments to guide instructional practices to identify students who need additional time and support to master skills.  We differentiate or modify instruction to meet the individual needs of each student while keeping a sharp focus on the progress of the whole group.

Technological advancement is evident throughout the elementary program.  Students participate in planned technology activities in preschool through fourth grade using Chrome Tablets and Chromebooks.  The program of studies is defined through planned instruction with an emphasis on alignment with the Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.  Opportunities exist for success at all student ability levels, as delivery of instruction and teaching techniques are varied.

    Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate all students while embracing diversity to support the individual growth of each child.  We empower our students to be critical thinkers in a positive, safe and supportive environment.  Academic, social and emotional growth is achieved by differentiating instruction, integrating technology and fostering independence.  Building the whole child is accomplished by establishing a culture of empathy and respect through collaboration among colleagues, families and the community.
