  • In accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health requirements, the Tyrone Area School District is sending home letters with all students regarding a chickenpox outbreak.  Five or more cases of chickenpox constitutes an outbreak.  The information contained in the letter can also be found on below.  If your child has not been immunized for chickenpox you should consult your physician regarding your child’s continued attendance at school.  If your child has been immunized for chickenpox they should continue attending school unless they develop a suspicious rash.  If your child develops a suspicious rash, you should consult your physician regarding school attendance.  If you have any questions, please contact our school nurses at:
