The Incentive Card Program

The Incentive Card program was put into effect in the fall of 1993. Here’s how it works:

Students who earn predetermined grade-point levels in their classes receive a special, photo-ID card each marking period that entitles them to special privileges at school, discounts in retail stores in Tyrone, or coupons for free pizzas, burgers, movie rentals etc.

How do I get Renaissance Card Incentives?

Renaissance card incentives are based on three card levels: gold, orange, and black. Each marking period students' card level is determined by their grades, and their ID card is punched accordingly at the Renaissance Ice Cream Sundae Bars held three times per year during all middle and high school lunches.

Gold Card/A average*: 90.00% to 115.00%

Orange Card/B average*: 80.00% to 89.99%

Black Card/C average*: 70.00% to 79.99%

*Please note: Students will not qualify if they receive a failure in any subject. The failure will automatically bump them off of the list even if they still meet the minimum %.

Renaissance Cardholder Incentives Policy

The Tyrone area merchants are offering discount privileges to TAM&HS students for merchandise and services purchased by and/or for the TAM&HS student. Family members may not use the discount. Parents may accompany the student to make the purchase, but the student must always present the identification privilege card at the time of purchase. If merchants believe that card privileges are being abused by the student and/or family members, they may deny the discount.

Students are also required to present their identification privilege cards when participating in in-school events. When using the privilege card, students should remember that they are ambassadors of TAM&HS. Students should thank the merchants for their participation in our privilege card program and show that they continue to deserve their support and recognition.
